  1. We were sitting on the front steps one day a couple weeks ago, that snake went right behind my wife’s feet. Didn’t say a word until it passed, and she still managed to step on its tail. It’s about 5 feet long. Sucker coiled up but she got out of the way.

    Thanks Claudia, I’m a redneck.

  2. I resemble that remark.
I have been thinking lately that I need to move deeper into the forest to get further from the crazies.
    Happy Sunday Claudia!

  3. You might not be a redneck if:
you cant take a leak off your back deck or porch
you don’t have more the three calibers of ammunition
you can’t run a chainsaw or properly swing a hammer…

  4. There are turkeys all over the place here. I’m feeding a mama raccoon with a litter. Snakes are small and rarely encountered (thank God). There hasn’t been a bear in the vicinity in a hundred years. Thank God the pigs haven’t made it here (at least not yet).

  5. Mornin’ everyone, great pics.

I was not born a redneck per se? But I think I wanna become one…especially after that trip!

    Thanks C!

  6. Except for the bear, all those could be like Thursday around here.
The most excitement since I moved here, a Brahma bull in the garden.
He cleared the 4 foot fence gracefully. It’s 9 feet now, jump that one, no deer, no bull.
We have a fawn that has taken up residence, not in the garden, momma can’t even clear that.
The does leave it here, hiding until they get back.
Thanks for all you do, Claudia.

  7. aw hell, I had a hawk screeching in a tree branch in my backyard for 30 minutes on Thursday evening. Took pics and video. I didn’t think to send them to Claudia

Likely won’t be able to clear a nine foot fence, but to my utter amazement I watched a couple black tail does go over an eight foot solid lock wire fence a couple years ago. I was watching them hanging out under some apple trees that had been fenced off and they trotted over and jumped the fence and walked off.
