After Promises from House and Senate, President Trump Signs COVID-19 Relief and Omnibus Spending Bill

The signing comes after the president extracted “promises” from congress to increase relief to Americans and reduce wasteful spending. Here

According to released press reports, President Trump is signing the bill with rescission requests demanding that portions of the bill be struck from final implementation by the Senate. The President is redlining the bill and providing line-by-line instructions to congress on the provisions within the bill that need to be modified and removed.

The signing of the bill carries a statement from President Trump: ““As President, I have told Congress that I want far less wasteful spending and more money going to the American people in the form of $2,000 checks per adult and $600 per child.”

The statement continues: “The senate will start the process for a vote that will increase checks to $2,000, repeals Section 230, and starts and investigation into voter fraud.”

  1. As I predicted, it was a huge spending bill so he approved it.

Trump hasn’t met a spending bill he doesn’t just love so far, he isn’t going to change at the last month of his term.

And as always, Republicans are good at making promises but rather poor at delivering on them, so don’t expect these promises to be fulfilled to the extent they were made.

  2. The Swamp hid behind yet another omnibus spending bill that stacked 3 ft high on a desk.

The Media/Swamp conspiracy hammered the President as ‘cruel’ for delaying for days, after they gave him a bill to sign that NO ONE has read, after 9 MONTHS of footdragging.

And shameless thief Bernie, who never met a pocket he wouldn’t steal from, is all over the tv leading the namecalling.

Congressionally leadership dillydallied for months while small businesses and restaurants slowly went bankrupt due to excessive fear of COVID. They’re not really lawmakers, but wealth takers. – Dr. Tar

  3. A politician’s promise?
Every sound they make is a lie.
They lie for personal gain – screwing and stealing from the taxpayers.
President Trump has little choice in the matter: the Media and Political Maggots from both sides (there’s actually only ONE side) have hyped this Wuhan Flu “pandemic” to the rafters and they much need a vehicle in which to extort more money – thus – another “relief” package which relieves nothing. If they actually wanted to do the country some good they’d commit mass suicide – or – short of that – get the fucking government out of the market-place. They have no expertise and their collectivist leanings do nothing but disrupt.
It’s difficult to understand why we haven’t told them to fuck off.
But then, again, the sheep very rarely tell the shepherd: “Put down the Shears!”

“The bill, containing all the pork, already carried a large veto-proof majority by those in the House and Senate who loaded it up with their special interest spending. I doubt a veto-proof bill will be modified by congress.

However, that veto-proof majority also made any veto effort by President Trump moot… so, considering the structure, the best he could do would be to take the rescission route and make the request.”

  5. This is on CONgress, not the President.
As he delayed signing it, ALL parties were painting HIM the villain, and him alone.

There’s alot of vermin that need cleaning out. It is much bigger than a one man job. Get real.

  6. Trump must still believe that someone in Congress or media will say something nice about him. Ain’t gonna happen.

Expect Honest Joe Biden -The Peoples’ Choice – to say something in his inaugural address like “our long national nightmare is over” about Trump right before he says “dark days are ahead”.

I hope all of his 80 million eager voters tune in to hear his historic speech on Jan 20.

  7. When I heard about this last night I was really disappointed in Trump. Now that I’ve had a little time to think about it I see he really had no choice. But, again, what he did do is expose the bastards.
I’m really disappointed by some of the comments here. Name a President, or any individual for that matter, that could fight the good fight and be as successful as he’s been.
This comment made me laugh for a while. “As I predicted, it was a huge spending bill so he approved it.”
How would we know what you predicted. You’re just another cowardly Anon.
I don’t think Trumps as worried as he should be about debt because he realizes the tax revenue he could generate off his economy. The problem is, the swamp will never let him implement it.
Whether Trump stays in office or fails he needs to create another political party.

  8. Maybe this is the best course of action, but I’m hard headed enough to think he should have vetoed this and explain exactly why he is vetoing the bill. Call these TRAITOROUS BASTARDS out, name them and force them to defend sending hundreds of billions of our dollars all around the planet.

  9. “PJ and Brad what brave things have you done other than post to a website?”

Well once I drove thru a predominantly black neighborhood. At night.

I assume you are reacting to tagging your anaon butt as a coward. Here’s how that works. Most of this community has recognizable fake names. Most of the community hides their true identity from anyone viewing their comments because at times the rest of the world may consider them controversial. Anons hide the I.D. from this community. And that’s chicken shit.

  10. Billy, the “relief” is ephemera – give some ass his own money and call it “relief?”
    People are pretty revolting now.

We’re mostly in this mess because people are too fucking stupid to understand that there’s NO SUCH THING as “free.”
Simply doesn’t exist – never did.
