@I Am The Evil White Man — There were two things flying right after the shot. One was the shell. The other was larger.
I think it is two spent casings. Anything that would have come from the wound would have been flying out the back of the corpse.
The first one (which looks like it is larger) ends up landing on the railing to the right.
It’s a good thing John Hinckley Jr. wasn’t that good at a close shooting or GHWB would have had two terms…
