   If it was him, which I seriously doubt. The real Brandon may have known of the 1915 SCOTUS ruling which declares acceptance of a pardon as admission of guilt and only applies to Federal crimes. He also finished in the bottom 9th of his law school class, so maybe not.

   So that leaves the geniuses behind him. If it was one of his personal staff, it stands to reason they weren’t much smarter than he is/was, given his hatred of the “smart guys”. If not, like most of his policies, the puppetmasters weren’t too bright, either, as subsequent events indicate.

3. For many of these career criminals, their federal crimes have state analogs. This means that state governors and state prosecutors, if so inclined, may pursue state charges and Joe Stupid’s federal pardon means nothing. His pardon does not prevent civil suits and any actual fraud negates the pardon. This last bit means that if it can be shown that Joe Stupid profited by any of his sons actions,the Hunter pardon evaporates.
