Brennan, Clapper Call Border Crisis ‘Nonexistent Threat’ in Lawsuit Against Border Wall

Shouldn’t those two ***sniffers  be consulting defense lawyers because of their participation in SpyGate?

Epoch Times: WASHINGTON—Sixty-two former government officials submitted a brief to a California district court on May 13 in support of a lawsuit against President Donald Trump, who wants to use Defense Department funds to help build a wall on the southern border.

The brief is signed by a who’s-who of officials from the Obama era, including John Brennan, CIA director from 2013 to 2017; James Clapper, director of national intelligence from 2010 to 2017; John Kerry, secretary of state from 2013 to 2017; Susan Rice, U.N. ambassador from 2009 to 2013; Samantha Power, U.N. ambassador from 2013 to 2017; Janet Napolitano, secretary of homeland security from 2009 to 2013; Leon Panetta, secretary of defense from 2011 to 2013; and Chuck Hagel, secretary of defense from 2013 to 2015.

The 62 officials argue that the border crisis is a “nonexistent threat” and “a manufactured crisis that rests on falsehoods and fearmongering.”

“There is no factual basis for the declaration of a national emergency for the purpose of circumventing the appropriations process and reprogramming billions of dollars in funding to construct a wall at the southern border,” the officials state in the brief.

Trump declared a national emergency on Feb. 15, which allowed for the shift of $600 million from the Treasury Department and $6.1 billion from the military budget toward border-wall construction. The $6.1 billion from the Defense budget includes $2.5 billion reallocated from the counter drug activity purse and $3.6 billion from the military construction budget. Only the construction money is dependent on the emergency declaration.

“We’re going to confront the national security crisis on our southern border, and we’re going to do it one way or the other. We have to do it,” Trump said at the time. “We have tremendous amounts of drugs flowing into our country, much of it coming from the southern border.” more here

  1. These fiends are absolute traitors. They truly deserve a federal death sentence. There are over 22 million people in the US illegally at a conservative estimate. That’s multiple armies worth of people in the country illegally. How is that not a fucking problem?!!!

Democrats and their pig minions in the intelligence and law enforcement circles are the blood enemy of every US patriot.

  2. Deflection, pure and simple…the liar tactic. Chutzpah on steroids in action…accelerating straight off the cliff while blaming God for the cliff.

Every single one of these scurrying rat scoundrels is in panic mode because they know prison awaits. Their remaining tactic is to toss out anything and everything to see what sticks, and it is becoming clear this is their last play to keep the light from exposing their decades of lawless activity. Pelosi and her cadre of last-gasp operatives posit strawmen for their lapdog propagandist media, saying things like:

“The President is not above the law!”

Apparently none of these underhanded cheats owns a mirror to see what the rest of us already know.

It’s obvious to anyone with half a brain and a modicum of civics that the President has operated within the confines of his executive power. Doesn’t stop the moronic enemies of the people in saying it just to put it out there and place doubt…even if it is a total lie.

    That, to me, is treasonous.

  3. What a great idea! Submit ab exhaustive list of everyone involved in the attempted overthrow of the President to assure no one is accidentally overlooked. The AG’s office appreciates the help!

  4. @extirpates- “Stupid is what stupid does.” (h/t Forrest Gump)

Seems the liars and cheats are so blinded by their own self-importance and power they still manage to believe they are “above the law” and will get off scot-free.

    Excellent.

  5. I read the list and could recall on almost each and everyone some small/large scandal or abuse of power or questionable actions or use of government office for financial, personal or political gain. Quite a rogues gallery indeed.
Having said that there had better be some indictments starting to roll out damn soon on these and other people or the people’s faith in Trump will start to waver.
