  1. But if the fires were started by negligent Regulators or Illegal-Alien Invaders we’re all just gonna forget about it …

Plain extortion – nothing more; nothing less. A corporation is a legalistic entity – it has no existence outside of that – thus it has no moral sense. It’s officers, do, however, and if Xavier Beccera is suggesting that those officers will be charged with murder he’s setting a pretty high bar to leap over. Malicious intent, for instance, as well as proof of the physical act.

  2. Forest mismanagement doesn’t take any heat? C’mon, Juan Brown was telling us a few months ago that PG&E had just recently got permission to further clear brush around utilities. How long did it take to get that permission?

  3. That’s another opportunity to fill the government coffers and pass the increased costs of utilities to those who pay taxes.

California has become very creative to increase the price of utilities and increase their tax base at the same time.

  4. another money grab by California Attorney General Xavier Becerra. He might get a serious fine out of PG&E but guess who is going to pay in the long run, the poor cali customer. In effect, just another tax.

  5. Xavier Becerra
I’m sure he’ll jump right on this, and with both feet
Another california politician who didn’t live in his district. He didn’t even live in the _state_ that he represented. He was head of the House democratic caucus, and oversaw their computers during the awan hacking scandal. He refused to provide any evidence, and oddly enough, his subpoenaed server went stolen. What are the chances of that?

“…Becerra’s server was physically stolen shortly after the IG report named it as evidence in a hacking probe
Even after the Wikileaks publication of DNC emails, Becerra never publicly acknowledged nor demanded consequences for the cyber breach on the server of a group similar in nature to the DNC.”

He ain’t gonna do shit, except maybe act a little. He’ll do a goudy impression, and wait for this to disappear into the memory hole, like his other scandals. It is what they do.

  6. I thought the transmission tower at the epicenter of the Camp Fire had evidence of bullet impacts? I guess that doesn’t matter.

California’s goal, I suspect,!is to break PG&E so they can “nationalize” it.
