A co-founder of Wikipedia is launching a competing website as a free-speech-friendly alternative to what he views as the increasingly monolithic left-wing bias of his former organization.
Last May, Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger wrote an op-ed on his personal website titled “Wikipedia is Badly Biased” claiming that Wikipedia’s neutrality policy — known as “NPOV,” or neutral point of view — “is dead.”
Now, when schoolchildren visit the Wikipedia website to look up answers to questions about the meaning of socialism, “they’re going to find an explanation that completely ignores any conservative, libertarian, or critical treatment of the subject,” Sanger told “Just the News AM” television program. “And that’s really problematic. That’s not education. That’s propaganda.”
Sanger referred to a Fox News report last week by Maxim Lott, which noted, “The two main pages for ‘Socialism’ and ‘Communism’ span a massive 28,000 words, and yet they contain no discussion of the genocides committed by socialist and communist regimes, in which tens of millions of people were murdered and starved.” read more
In typical fashion, socialists do not create, they seize or steal for the greater good and eventually destroy what they did not create.
Atlas Shrugged and Ayn Rand warned about this and were 100% correct. Except there is nowhere left to run to anymore.

It’ll be interesting what the new site will draw. That’s what makes the left take-over so sad. Any alternate site will likely be slanted to the right, which shouldn’t be the point.
It’s a nice thought. Any sort of Wiki will demand constant and thorough oversight, inevitably involving the bias of those doing it. As always the most important thing is thoughtful skepticism on the part of the reader.

The problem is conservatives by nature won’t swarm the site as most have “better things to do”. Leftists have a large cadre of people with significant psychological problems (bi-polar and OCD types I’ve met are all hard leftists) and troll the sites with no pushback. Hence the ruin of any otherwise neutral thing.
It can only last a long as it Sanger who is running it.
The last couple of supreme court nominees added to the court and the current slate of elected government officials and the flunky bureaucrats can tell you all you need to know about “Mans” now defunct code of “your word is your word”.
Wikie didn’t start out as a left wing propaganda site, the employees chosen to run it turned it into one.
