My first reaction was to smile at the story, but my strongest reaction is to despise the Eurobullies for making it a criminal offense to be a loudmouth asshole. There are times when being a loudmouth asshole is the righteous thing to be.

I just wonder how all this happened. And I guess I really know having been indoctrinated in a “liberal arts” university in 1980. It’s just been exacerbated over time with no checks and balances, It took me some time to shake out of it, but not that long… At my first job at Business Week, the publisher asked why he should promote me since I was just going to get married and have a kid. After a long career and no kids, I’m thankful for a good and long profitable marriage. Hated Manhattan, though. Love the little conservative southern town I’m in now, the pharmacist and the guy at Petco know my name. Happiness!

Seriously? People who scream and holler and carry on in public like that (outside a protest) are sincerely mentally ill. They have no internal governor on their behavior — absolutely no sense of “this is where I end and this is where you begin.” Boundaries, in other words. None. They just never got their hands slapped for touching other peoples’ person or stuff or were told to be quiet when interrupting adults. They really do think they are special, unique, entitled and that their opinions are morally superior. In other words they are complete and utter boors and they wouldn’t even understand that word!
