Eleanor Rigby, Limited To Two Notes

Have you taken acid?

Well….

  1. Maybe I tried it once or twice, but mine was a much fun experience than listening to this (or any) song in E and F. I pity anybody who had this kind of experience. And speaking of experience, are you experienced?

  2. @Burr – “…Yes…..out there….. IN THE FIELDS OF GREATNESS…”

Yes out there, but you’ve always been a hoot. Keep it up and carry on.

p.s., where are these “fields” of greatness? I need to harvest me some of this bounty.

  3. I love music, I play guitar/bass and even used to sing well, raised two sons and imparted to them a love for music and they grew to be accomplished musicians who both competed and performed nationally, and who continue to play actively. I like many genres of music, but I have to admit it: I get physically ill when I hear the Beatles. Sorry, Boomers.

I was born in 1965 (depending on which sociologist you read, makes me a Gen-xer). My childhood was spent around the Zenith console stereo, spinning records and listening to the radio. I have fond memories of playing “Hey Jude,” over and over. I understand their place in music history and I’ve tried to latch on to them, to come to a place where I enjoy their music, but I just can’t. I can’t pretend otherwise: their shit doesn’t move me or interest me.

And, yes, I did acid many times.

  4. Uncle says, “Uncle.”

I just went out to the geezer cage for a smoke and listened to a mockingbird singing it’s little beautiful heart out. He’s a real virtuoso, and his cadenzas were magnifico.

So, rather than keep up the hijacking of this thread (but BFH started it with that…that…that THING he posted) I am suing for peace.

  5. Hillary Clinton
Learns of a vice that took place
In a room where an intern has been
    Plots her revenge
    Waits in the hallway
Wielding a vase that she keeps
In a jar by the door
    Who is it for?

    All the loathsome Clintons
Where did they all come from
    All the loathsome Clintons
    Where do they all belong

  6. This nasty two-note-tune plays in the elevator that takes you to your assigned Level of Hell. Bobby Goldsboro’s HONEY plays over and over again in the Purgatory Waiting Area.

    Just a heads-up, people. 👿
