Jokes aside, this cannot be allowed to happen in a Texas courtroom, particularly when this state was just attacked by supporters of Sharia law. This sounds like something an Arab court would dream up.
Yeah, I read this yesterday. Look, I’m all for torturing men 😉 , but this wasn’t cool. I hope they can get it annulled. Whatever he did has nothing to do with a marriage and marriage shouldn’t be used as punishment. (And neither should forcing someone to enroll in the military or else! Like back in the day)
If he was dragging his feet about marrying her, she should have left him in the first place. This put the woman in a terrible spot. She has nothing to do with any of his offenses.

That’s just flat ludicrous. I read it like this;
Judge’s subconscious; “I am absolutely freaking miserable with my own marriage to a fat slob and I have wasted my life. I simply handed my own life to a woman who hasn’t given me an erection in 30 years. I CANNOT STAND acknowledging that there were other options in life therefore I strongly believe that everyone should get married by age 20 maximum. Guys who remain single nearly give me an aneurysm because they show me that I had other options and to admit that would cause cognitive discomfort on a level that is unbearable.

Another judge who doesn’t believe there are any limits on his authority. makes me wonder what the state legislature has to say on this. Is there any law in the state that decrees of marriage are permissible or that they may be coerced by judicial decree?
