Kevin McCarthy Demonstrates the Power of the Speakership to Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries

Red State

As RedState reported on Monday, Kevin McCarthy was left at a crossroads after Hakeem Jeffries attempted to reappoint Eric Swalwell and Adam Schiff to the House Intelligence Committee. In a brazen letter, Jeffries demanded Swalwell and Schiff be reinstated, appealing to the very House tradition of minority deference Democrats had thoroughly shredded during the prior congress.

The minority leader also tried to draw a distinction between the behavior of Marjorie Taylor Greene and Swalwell and Schiff. What he didn’t mention is that the actions of the two California Democrats in question were far more dangerous and egregious. In Swalwell’s case, he’s been credibly accused of having an affair with a Chinese spy.

Now, McCarthy has responded to Jeffries with a simple answer: Pound sand. Continues

  1. Just remember enjoy a stalemate for that is the best & only thing the House has. When it all stops, so will republican leadership in the House in 2024, say your goodbyes, dumbasses. You lose! For that is what losers do, lose.

  2. Looks like the House Conservatives may actually be forcing McCarthy to grow a set of Elephant Balls, in turn stomping on and crushing all sorts of Donkey Balls, causing their heads to explode because they don’t know how to handle this situation.

  3. Well it does look like those that held out till the very end of getting what they want, McCarthy is on the hot seat if he doesn’t come forth with the demands. His speakership is on the line, he put himself there. Nevertheless, I like the move he made with Schitt for Brains and Swallow-it-well.

  4. Destruction of the anti-American left in any form, at any time, is a good thing. Fair means or foul, destroy these evil creatures. I would prefer to become the monster that I seek to destroy than to allow that monster to destroy everything that is right in the world and replace it with their vileness. Better to stand on smoking ash than to live in an edifice of evil.
