A number of current and former players in the NFL claim that about 60 percent of them use marijuana as a pain-reliever and treatment for brain trauma. They claim that most of these players have “been doing it since they were teenagers” and viewed the use of marijuana as preferable to stronger more addictive pain killers like Vicodin or Percocet.
Some of these players claim that the NFL is “well aware of the rampant use of marijuana by players.”
A number of players who have never failed a drug test freely use the drug since they are not subject to intensive drug testing.
Well, that explains the after game interviews.
“Henderson, you missed that pass!”
“Sorry coach. I slipped on the
Grass.”
I was wondering what the NFL’s policy will be for teams that play in states were it has been legalized.
I also wonder just how effective the Broncos are going to be if the NFL lifts it’s rules against smoking the reefer.
I thought football players did everything 110 percent.
…with the exception of the Seattle Seahawks who prefer Adderall because they can lie that their entire roster has ADHD.
I don’t know nuttin ’bout pot. Nuttin. I’m a Dewars and beer man. But some years ago I was playing against another 12 handicapper in a Club match. A nice guy and a friend. He was three holes up with four to go. He had me by the nuts. But on the
15th Tee box he pulled out a little gizmo, not a Marlboro, and lit it up, coughed, sputtered, hacked for a moment, and proceeded to lose the next three holes. He was still puffing on the stuff when he sixed
eighteen and I took a five for the win. Don’t tell me that shit doesn’t affect your motor abilities and your head. I agree that Dewars would have the same effect, three or four drinks would.
But a few drags from a reefer?
There ought to be a study. A real study.
The only pot I use is the one I cook in. Ain nobody got time fo dat.
MJA. And I’ll bet you can use it well.
Love ya.
Mwuah! Right backatcha.
Oh yeah, I’m sure they were using weed as an alternative to a habit forming prescription painkiller. I suspect that the truth is a little closer to they were getting high because they are NFL stars and they could pretty well do what they wanted. Further I think that weed was the least of the problem recreational drugs they were doing.
