The National Football League continues to struggle with furious fans as player protests enter their second month, with ratings for the NFL’s flagship ‘Sunday Night Football’ down a staggering 25% from this time last week.

 

According to Deadline Hollywood, television viewership for the troubled football association continued its free fall from previous weeks, with roughly one quarter fewer fans tuning in as the Detroit Lions faced off against the Pittsburgh Steelers.  more here

  3. At least some of the Owners must still be sane enough to realize they can’t continue to allow simpleminded, semi-illiterate thugs–who are only short term employees for a few seasons, then gone–to destroy their brands and the value of their franchises.

    Because make no mistake, the Left intends to completely destroy the NFL.
    When they do, those expensive taxpayer-funded stadium complexes are going to default on their Bonds and other financing.

    It will be difficult for Cities to convert them to anything but Football. Too specialized.

  10. Let’s say I was hired to paint a house and I had a chip on my shoulders about something. Would it be okay to paint Trump Sucks or BLM on the house over the paint job? Hell no. I would be fired and sued. This is exactly what these doofuses are doing. They are screwing up the job they are supposed to do by disrespecting the fans and the country during pregame and game time. You don’t have freedom of speech when you are on the clock. Do that crap off the clock if it matters so much. They are sabotaging the corporation and its brand. The NFL needs to get someone with a pair to say every player who takes a knee or displays support for their political cause gets ejected. All future contracts should have a stupid crap like this clause renders the contract null and void with a 3 year none compete provision. If you don’t like it go play arena football.

  13. When the inmates take over for real, maybe next season, thing will improve. Right now it’s not looking too good, still too many Americans attending and watching.

  16. Part of the problem last night is the spectacular World Series that’s going on right now. These first 5 games have been great sports entertainment, way better the nfl.

  18. I wonder how many of these cities got the same sucker deal Nashville got? There, the city is on the hook to pay the team for all unsold seats. Basically, a guaranteed sellout for each game.

    If that’s true elsewhere, no wonder the owners don’t give a crap.

  25. I find it really hard but doing my part. I did watch the majority of one game on Sunday but no 2nd, or SNF. Haven’t watched MNF or TNF this year at all. I’m Jonsing but all good.

  35. Hubby won’t even watch highlights of NFL games – he changes the channel. Bunch of grand-standing ghetto morons disrespecting the anthem & the flag & the police. Phuck ’em all.

    The stadium by my house has been a hideous blight on this ass-ugly town since it was built & if it sits empty permanently it really won’t affect anything much at all. Blech.

    College ball only & transitioning to NHL. Go Lightning!!
