The mantra in Higher Education is “publish or perish” meaning that a professor won’t get tenure unless he or she can pump out the articles to be published in peer reviewed journals. Some professors are good at the game, prolific in generating content. Thanks to OMICS International an academic doesn’t need to be either.
Oh hell… this is old news! These Perfessers have been pumping out books for their degrees for decades! The quality or authenticity of the material really doesn’t matter in most cases, the fact that they published a book is the goal!
Taken one step further, pumping out papers to pump up their curriculum vitae is like cramming music on an iPod -> the quality takes a back seat to quantity!
