Conservatives schooled President Obama after he used an Iowa school visit to slam Republicans as “un-American” because of an “anti-immigrant sentiment.”
As Obama took questions from high school juniors and seniors Monday in Des Moines, he saved a question about student aid for illegal aliens for last.
He used his answer to launch a tirade, calling illegal alien children “American kids by every other criteria except for a piece of paper.”
Implying that desire to live in America is all it takes to stay in the United States, the president said “it makes absolutely no sense” not to welcome all who come.
“This whole anti-immigrant sentiment that’s out there in our politics right now is contrary to who we are,” Obama said. Apparently, to Obama, it seems keeping our borders secure from illegal aliens and potential terrorists makes one un-American.
Well ……We probably shouldn’t have left him or his deadbeat dad(whomever that might be) in this country!!!
his statement makes me only think about the old saying, “it takes one to know one”.
and if any one should, he should know what un-American is!

See how easily he changes the dynamic? He says “anti-immigrant” instead of anti-illegal immigrant! So subtle yet so sinister!!
Exactly right. The Left wants all Hispanics to think we hate Latinos and want them all gone.
I’m all for immigration. I’m all for immigration reform. I have no problem with everyone who wants to come to America coming, BUT they can’t be a bunch of criminals and terrorists. We’re getting plenty of those along with all the folks who are “Just trying to make a better life for themselves and their families.”
The other thing that burns me is seeing people from Burma, Sweden, Germany, Italy… coming to America and embracing being American. They are proud to be Americans and while they bring their heritage with them, they don’t demand to continue speaking their home country’s language. They don’t insult the American flag because they feel “Hated”. They want to BE AMERICANS!!!
I thought that was the whole point of Immigration. If I moved to France, I wouldn’t demand the French print everything in English, only group with my American friends, tear down the French flag every time I saw one. I don’t think asking people who want to immigrate, to actually embrace the immigration process.
