What started as a prescribed burn Northwest of Isabella in the Superior National Forest Minnesota, has grown into a wildfire.
According to Forest Service officials, on Wednesday at around 1 p.m. a wildfire was declared in the Tofte Ranger District, just off State Highway 1 near Isabella.
The Fry Fire was seen within the 65-acre prescribed fire area after Wednesday’s planned burn.
Officials say the fire is being attacked with aircraft and ground resources. More
It rained overnight throughout the region, but pre-dawn reports are that the fire is being monitored but is still burning.
Was this fire another training exercise for female fire fighters?
