According to one U.S. Marine, the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, led by President Joe Biden, was a living nightmare that is far from over.
The Washington Examiner reported that for weeks on end, Lt. Col. Jonathon Myers, a retired Marine intelligence officer, conducted a sleepless and exhaustive effort to help get American citizens and green card holders connected with Marines in Afghanistan out of the country before the hard August 31st withdrawal deadline.
And on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 31st, that mission went from dire and dangerous to clandestine for the hundreds of U.S. citizens and thousands of green card holders and journalists left stranded when the last military plane exited the airport in Kabul.
According to Myers, there was no possible way to pull all Americans out of the country due to the Biden administration’s gross mismanagement. He said:
“Within that last 12 hours, I had four buses of American citizens outside the gate. They were mostly pregnant women and babies, including a child with spina bifida, just all packed together waiting at the gate.”
Though the women arrived at the gate after Myers and his team gave the Taliban a “big bribe,” the women were turned away when an aid organization failed to meet them with rosters. Myers said: read more
Either that or being in deep shit.
“extraordinary success”, indeed. I hear they’re renaming Kabul “Bidengrad”.
I wouldn’t hire Biden to be a spell checker at an M&M factory. He would throw out all the ‘W’s
Oh. And he didn’t win, just by the way.
It’s time to put this unfortunate, extraordinary success behind us. People have very short memories. Who remembers anything about the World Trade Towers? Pearl Harbor? Wake Island? D-Day? Battle of the Bulge? Chosin Reservoir? Pork Chop Hill? Khe Sanh? Hue? Fallujah? Benghazi? They are counting on the entire country forgetting about this catastrophe. And we can’t let them. They think it’s going to blow over, just like Humper’s missing laptops. Just like Tara Reade. Just like the stolen election.
It was an ‘orderly, successful withdrawal”. That’s the problem.
Too bad that “orderly, successful withdrawal” didn’t happen 70? 80? years ago with Joe’s parents.
It sounds to me like a scene from Les Miserables?
