Pffft- If There Was Anything To This He Would Have Won 2,112 Bucks

WQAD-

Another Davenport resident won big  this week playing in the Iowa Lottery.

Kelvin Wynn, 57, of Davenport, won $300,000 in Tuesday’s drawing of the lottery’s Pick 4 game. He won 10 prizes of $30,000 by matching all four numbers drawn and in the exact order.

The winning numbers were 2-1-1-2.

Wynn purchased the winning ticket at QC Mart on 53rd St. in Davenport.

According to Wynn, he picked the numbers based on a dream he had weeks ago.

“Actually I had a dream and in that dream it was hotel room number 2112, but I thought nothing of it,” said Wynn.

But the next day, one of his clients addresses happened to be those same four numbers – 2112.

The signs didn’t stop there.

Wynn says that while he was at a stoplight later the same day, the car in front of him had 2112 in the license plate and a purchase at a department store totaled $21.12.

After some encouragement from his wife, Wynn, who rarely plays the lottery, decided the numbers were a sign and played them in the Pick 4 drawing.

“I realized I had overtime on my check,” said Wynn, “Ah, let’s just go for it.”

It’s a good thing he did.

Wynn found out he won by checking his tickets on the lottery’s website the next day.

Wynn said a majority of his winnings will be used to help pay the education expenses for his three children but also something for himself – a new set of golf clubs.

  1. I pay the idiot tax {lottery} weekly. I do it just for fun and a faint spark of hope. This guy seems to have been guided to it with little hints from ? Glad a hardworking dad won instead of someone with an EBT card.

  2. Hey! That happened to me, too. Not the winning part, but the message in number from ?

I kept seeing 444 for about a month. Woke up at 4:44 one morning. A code for the next project at work was 444A. Happened like that for a few more times.

Then, while I was wasting time playing a computer game, I decided I was being silly. Then the game ended. My score was 444.

Never thought to buy a lottery ticket! Dang.

  3. Lotteries aren’t even gambling. There’s no skill or strategy, unlike card games. It’s just blowing money blind, with a .00001% chance of breaking even.

Government lotteries are pure evil. Exploiting the desperate and the severely stupid. With the advertising power and false legitimacy of “officialdom” to con the rubes.

Funny how these MSM-placed stories always promote the magical-sacrilegious notion that God or some mysterious Benevolent Higher Power “wants” you to “win” and is sending you hints and tips in license plates and phone numbers and tea leaves.

Compulsive gambler joke. In line at 7-11 to buy scratch off cards: ” I sure hope I can break even today, I really need this money for tomorrow’s rent.”

  4. UUUGH this brings up a frustration I will live with for the rest of my life. 20 plus years ago Had a dream I was standing behind a man filling out a lottery ticket in a 7-11, saw the man fill in numbers 11-17 and 22 could not remember the remaining numbers.
that day bought 10 bucks worth of tickets (20 games 2 per dollar) that nights drawing 11-17 22 all were drawn, and i didn’t pick one single remaining number. I had 20 games with 3 numbers didn’t win a penny (needed four to win a minor prize) smm havent bought a loto since.
