NTK: Former acting attorney general Sally Yates said that being a Democrat had absolutely nothing to do with how she did her job at the Department of Justice (DOJ) during an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Tuesday.
Cooper asked Yates if she was a political opponent of President Trump, an accusation lobbed by White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer after Yates had been fired.
The Georgia native told Cooper that she was not a political opponent of President Trump, citing that she is a 20-year veteran of the DOJ.
Cooper followed up by asking Yates if her political beliefs impacted any of her decisions while serving as acting attorney general.
“Yeah, but that has absolutely nothing to do with how I did my job here,” Yates told Cooper.
No shit, sally.
I thought she said Dumboldcrap.
Really? I never would have known.
Her political affiliation affected her job at the DOJ no more than it affects the job of people in the MSM.
And because all people have political beliefs and biases, the President has the privilege and authority TO FIRE SOME.
“Yeah, but…”
Doesn’t matter what follows. The “yeah” is what matters. You were partisan – of course you were, why wouldn’t you be? Duh.
Bye Felicia.
Sally wasn’t non-partisan. Justice in her book was based upon political beliefs. In her opinion, Justice was “not” blind.
Sessions needs to clean house or at the very least reassign the political hacks out of key positions.
Her sister, Terre, has a radio talk show here in Alabama (thankfully only one hour). She is touted as a conservative but she bashes Trump every chance she gets. I could only listen for a little while. She and her sister are two peas in a pod.
What station, Corky?
The internet has them all available. One could lodge complaints, is all I’m saying..
I suppose I could sleuth it out, though.
