Despite many Democrats calling for President Donald Trump’s impeachment, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) has backed away from that stance, saying Sunday he is “not prepared to recommend it” at this time.
Schiff, who has previously claimed to have “ample evidence” of collusion between Trump and the Russians in 2016, said he “does not know the answer” to whether or not he agrees that Trump will be impeached.
“We may get there,” Schiff told Jake Tapper, host of CNN’s “State of the Union.” “What would get me to that point is if we get to a final court decision compelling the administration to provide testimony and documents and they still refuse, then I think we are in a full-blown constitutional crisis that would compel that kind of remedy.”
“[A]t this point, I’m not prepared to recommend it,” he added.
Shorter: Our coup failed, we have no basis on which to start impeachment proceedings so we’re going to have to beat him with votes. “of which they can’t do that either with the clown show they have for candidates” LOLOL
In other words, he knows there is no “there” there and that there is not as much support for it in the country as he had hoped, and realizes that impeachment would help Trump far more than hurt him.

It is too early for impeachment. They know that they cannot successfully impeach, so they can only use the process to slander. If they pull the trigger too soon, the voters will have forgotten the lies, but perhaps not the failed impeachment, before the election.
What is disturbing is that, beyond rampant voter fraud, the Democrats were willing to fake Labor Dept. economic reports to get Bubba elected and then escalate to triggering the mortgage crisis and tank the global economy to get Obama elected. What are they willing to do to get Trump out of office?
We didn’t impeach Obama for the lies and scandals. There’s your reparations. We’re even.

Yeah, because he knows he would get even MORE of his ass broken off and handed to him.
I’d say he’s a weasel, but that would be insulting to an animal that actually has a part in the food chain.
Some cooler heads in the Democrat party realize that impeachment without removal is pointless at best and catastrophic for their party at worst. With a Republican majority in the Senate, getting the 2/3 majority needed for removal is near impossible.
Unfortunately for the Democrats, there may be too few of these cooler heads to prevent the rest of the party from trying anyway.
Who cares what that bug-eyed pencil neck geek thinks.
If he could, he would. This has nothing to do with evidence. He would be glad to pursue impeachment with no crime.
This is about vulnerable Dems in the next election being forced into voting for his treasonous bullshit.
