He got off easy, by pleading to one minor offense, because he was going to call on representatives to testify, thereby blowing their cover. Everyone, clapper included, asked for his light sentence- they had too much to lose if the case was actually investigated and revealed to the public. They’re probably drinking and dancing about that tonight in DC.
