Killer gets parole Robert F. Kennedy’s assassin granted release

NYPost-

The late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy’s assassin was granted parole Friday after two of the slain political icon’s sons said they supported his release.

Douglas Kennedy, who was a toddler when his father was gunned down in 1968, said he was moved to tears by Sirhan Sirhan’s remorse during a parole hearing that prosecutors didn’t attend.

“I’m overwhelmed just by being able to view Mr. Sirhan face to face,” he said.

“I think I’ve lived my life both in fear of him and his name in one way or another. And I am grateful today to see him as a human being worthy of compassion and love.”

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has spoken in favor of Sirhan’s release in the past, also wrote in favor of paroling Sirhan.

Sirhan — who smiled as Kennedy spoke — told members of the California Parole Board that he’d learned to control his anger.

  1. There is no justice, I hope someone kills this bastard on his way out of prison. Are they going to repatriate him to Jordan so he can fight alongside his fellow jihadis? And the Cal. Parole board can go to Hell as well. This sucks and it sucks bad.

  2. I’m somewhat surprised this administration hasn’t released EVERY felon in prison….in order to make room for their perceived enemy, the average American citizen.

Of course, the fat lady has yet to sing.

  3. BFH: Right you are! I remember that you corrected me several years ago when I commented on RFK being one of the first victims of Islamic terrorism in America. However, Sirhan, a Christian Palestinian refugee, did kill Robert F. Kennedy because he had spoken in favor Israel a few weeks earlier.

  4. @Beachmom – While it is true that George Gascon is a Soros puppet, he did/does not have the final say on parole approval. That is the function of the parole board. That said, however, he certainly has some amount of input and influence.

  5. I read a funny thing about this guy some decades ago: At the time of his arrest, none of the cards (pictures, licenses, &c.) in his wallet had ANY fingerprints on them.
I don’t know, just struck me as peculiar.
