Weather Preventing Installation of Gaza Dock

Times of Israel

The US military has completed construction of the Gaza aid pier, but weather conditions mean it is currently unsafe to move the two-part facility into place, the Pentagon said on Tuesday.

The pier — which the US military started constructing last month and which will cost at least $320 million — is aimed at boosting deliveries of desperately needed humanitarian assistance to Gaza, which has been ravaged by the Israel-Hamas war that was triggered by the terror group’s October 7 attack. 1. “The pier — which the US military started constructing last month and which will cost at least $320 million — is aimed at boosting deliveries of desperately needed humanitarian assistance to Gaza”. That’s a line of crap! It’s being built so Biden can load hundreds of thousands of inbred maniacs on boats and ship them to the US in time to vote!

  2. No port. No safe harbor. Just sitting there exposed to the Med’s rough seas and winds.

Pretty fricken stupid. I’m guessing it’s also a piece of $320 million dollar junk.

  3. Aside from Hamas, Pallys hate us anyway. I remember the videos of Pally civilians cheering and handing out candy to children to celebrate 3,000 dead Americans after muzzrats flew planes into our buildings. Even if they succeed in getting aid to ingrates, they will still hate us and want us dead. Eff ’em

  4. $320 million;
In the past, Humanitarian aid included allowing Hamas to build fortifications, tunnels and receive weapons. Who will Police the ships bringing goods to Gaza and Hamas? US Military? Israel? Hamas?

Did the US provide Humanitarian Aid to the 67 cities it firebombed (Napalm) in Japan and Germany during WWII?

On March 9, 1945, an armada of 334 B-29 bombers, with 279 of them dropping 1,665 tons of incendiaries, including a half-million cylinders of napalm and white phosphorus. Dry, windy conditions aided the spread of the conflagration, which turned into a firestorm, destroying almost 16 square miles of the densely populated Tokyo, much of which was made up of highly flammable buildings of paper and wood. It was estimated killing 100,000 people.

The firebombings continued until the end of the war, with an estimated 300,000–330,000 Japanese civilians killed and at least 8 million left homeless, and with an estimated 40 percent of Japan’s urban areas destroyed; 60 percent of Tokyo itself went up in flames.

The Allied strategic bombing of Germany during World War II (1939-45) involved British and U.S. bomber planes attacking industrial cities, factories, railways, airfields, dams and cities. Over 600,000 civilians died as a consequence.

Is not Israel at War with Hamas. Are Wars fought to destroy the enemy and those who support them?
This point has not been part of the US strategic military effort since Vietnam.

US should supply Israel whatever they need to win the War against Hamas, the PLO and Hezbollah.

  5. Cato, I’ve heard opinions that the fire bombing of Tokyo was worse than dropping the nuclear bomb. If that’s the case then Hamas deserves it. Just a taste of the eternal torment that awaits them in hell.

Amazing how the kids can’t do better, or even as well, after 80 years of technological advancement.

It’s almost like the tool is less important than the hand that swings it.

A highly trained squad of Israeli frogmen (no, not Frenchmen) could destroy the dock in a half hour or less.

On the other hand, if Israel takes total control of Gaza, the dock may be a useful asset.

Recently, Netanyahu showed a rendering of what Gaza could like under Israel rule. Tall hotels and apartment buildings along the Mediterranean shore. With the beaches and warm water, it could be a popular vacation destination, and there would be jobs for a lot of Pallies in the hospitality industry, and not just as maids, but jobs like accounting, finance, architecture, engineering, and IT.

But, they’ll fight to the last terrorist instead of working with Israel to improve their lives. Stupidity rules in Gaza.
