What to Do with Feckless Republicans?

American Thinker:
By Steve Feinstein

It seems as if pretty much all the news these days is bad, doesn’t it?  When things aren’t good, the one thing the average person wants is to feel that he has some real, dependable representation in D.C., someone who empathizes and cares about his concerns.  For conservatives, this means they want trustworthy Republican representation.  Unfortunately, today’s Republicans are generally feckless.  They do not fight for their constituents’ concerns and principles.

Whether it’s a matter of gross incompetence or willful intention, nothing the current Democratic administration is doing is improving the lives of the average American citizen.  Nothing.  Consider:

  • Inflation is raging out of control.  Gasoline prices — splattered in huge lettering on the “daily scorecard” of every local gas station — are a constant reminder of how far behind everyone feels like they’re falling.
  • Month after month, the new jobs data disappoint, missing the so-called experts’ projections by a country mile.
  • The divisive seeds of racial division are being sown by the Democrats like never before, for the inexcusable reason of political leverage.
  • Illegal immigration is not merely out of control.  It is being actively encouraged.
  • American energy production is intentionally curtailed, while we beg our OPEC rivals for greater production to make up for our shortfall.  Try to figure that one out.
  • Russia and China — our main global adversaries, both economically and militarily — are gaining on us (if not surpassing us) with nary a whimper of opposition from the Brandon administration.

And there’s the Big One: the COVID pandemic.  Despite Biden’s risible campaign squawking of “I’m not gonna shut down the economy; I’m gonna shut down the virus!,” he’s managed to do the exact opposite.  The virus is running rampant while the economy is staggering along like a drunken sailor who picked an ill-advised fight with George Foreman. more here

  1. consider … the only true republican we have in the Senate is Rand Paul & I’ve got more fingers & toes than true republicans in the House

unless somehow the system is changed (I don’t see how), we will only reap more government tyranny

it took close to 500 years for the Roman Republic to transform into the Roman Empire …. the USA only took a little more than 200 years to transform into a totalitarian fascist regime … w/ the complete compliance of the so-called Republican Party

… Lincoln grieves … as do we all

I’m going to start using and encouraging others to start using a new metaphor, much more in keeping with the times. The above should read:

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙫𝙞𝙧𝙪𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙧𝙪𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙢𝙮 𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙜𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙖 𝙙𝙧𝙪𝙣𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙎𝙀𝙉𝘼𝙏𝙊𝙍

  3. What to do with feckless Repugnicans?

Tell them that if they don’t quit we’ll put the videos out on the internet.

It won’t matter if we don’t have any videos. Every damned one of them will have something they’ve done that they’d kill to keep under wraps.

  4. There’s money in corruption – not so much in principles.
The Hill’s a funny place – they drink together, eat together, share pages together, staff moves like an undercurrent, they connive to fuck America together, and they conspire to corrupt together.
They live large – each a sort of demi-god – and the great unwashed masses of “constituents” are held at a great distance. They are surrounded by Armed Guards who will kill to protect them (regardless of their criminalities) and that tends to make one feel invulnerable – omnipotent, in fact.

  5. As awful as “feckless Republicans” sounds, I guess the author dares not mention this was game, set, match when the Administrative State overtook the authority of our quaint “balance of power”, three branches of government, and run by commies. FDR’s biggest alphabet programs, for example, were ruled to be unconstitutional — but WAY after they’d already done their damage. Of course, to the victors comes the ability to rewrite history. Very few average Americans know that, in his debilitated state of health, FDR wasn’t “running” the country any more than Biden is today.

We’ve never been closer — in more than a century — to truly resetting our federal gov’t than when POTUS Trump came into office.

  6. “feckless
    [ˈfekləs]
    ADJECTIVE
lacking initiative or strength of character; irresponsible.
    “a feckless mama’s boy” · [more]
    synonyms:
    useless · worthless · incompetent · inefficient · inept · good-for-nothing · ne’er-do-well · lazy · idle · slothful · indolent · shiftless · spiritless · apathetic · aimless · unambitious · unenterprising”

Funny word to describe evil, greedy, nihilistic, preening, delusional, egocentric, amoral maggots who have abandoned their constituencies and their oaths of office in order to fill their bank accounts.

  7. Perfect example of why I loved Trump. He’s got balls and knows where the country’s heading and what it needs. That’s why I’m thinking I’ll vote for DeSantis if he runs, and if he does I hope Don will give him his blessing and fight for him. Of course you know the left is chronicling every move he makes so I hope there’s not too much dirt. Anyway closest thing to Trump I see. As what to do with the feckless republicans, lots of good ideas above but I’d like to see them voted out of office for poor performance.

  8. The biggest motivator of ANY politician seems to be greed and hunger for more power over “The little people”.
There’s only one way I know of stopping that.

  9. Steve i deqd wrong!

Not familiar woth Steve so will not say why but “They are feckles” is not even close!

Feckless means: JOe biden. Feeble, innefective, weak.

The GOP “leadership” the last 33 years has been Ronny hating disingenuous liberals.

They want:inflation, racial divides, poor workers, a criminal alien invasion, woke military ….

They have for 33 years fought competently, strongly and bravely for our current situation.

Steve, were an informed conservative, would have said “Ronny hating Republicans”

had he said that the answer would be as” Plain as the Nose on Your Face” ( I miss that blog). PRIMARY THE LEFTISTS!

  10. Talk about a bunch of whinny asses, you think America is the only one having this problem, think again. Easiest thing in the world is to criticize, harder to come up with solutions.

Saint Pol Pot laughs at your fecklessness.
