Why did absolutely no one in the media care when Ginsburg Said If Trump won she was moving to New Zealand?

The Hill– 7/10/16

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg jokes that if Donald Trump wins the presidential election, she’ll consider moving.

“I can’t imagine what the country would be with Donald Trump as our president,” she said. “For the country, it could be four years. For the court, it could be — I don’t even want to contemplate that.”

Ginsburg, 83, said she will not leave her job “as long as I can do it full steam.”

But she mentioned that that Justices Anthony M. Kennedy and Stephen G. Breyer are no longer young, alluding to the effect the presidential election will have on the court.

~~~~~~~~
No one, that I can remember, railed against Ginsburg’s comments, worried that she’s be unfairly prejudiced against the Trump.
David Harsanyi points out that-
CNN editor-at-large Chris Cillizza in late August wrote an article titled: “How Ruth Bader Ginsburg became the face of the Trump resistance.”
So, what is the problem with Kavanaugh, exactly?
  1. Justice Ginsberg’s movement level seems to be worse than her age. My 92 year old father-in-law still sits erects, carries on a conversation, eats on his own, drives, cusses, nosily watches his neighbors, and the like. Watch Ginsberg for 10 minutes and you may mistake her for a rock.
    I’d say mentally, she has already moved on – how many clerks does she have to do her work?
  2. I don’t understand why someone hasn’t ordered a mental acuity test on her. She can’t stay awake, supposedly drinks and it’s said that her clerks do all of her work for her. This commie should never have been allowed on the bench while her decisions should have brought about her impeachment many years ago. What sane society would allow this old fossil to be making life and death decisions over them?
    There is mandatory retirement for a reason.
  3. My dad just turned 88 and he exhibits much better common sense that RBG has ever demonstrated. And he accepts that his mental capacity isn’t what it used to be, but I’ll attest to the fact that it’s still much better than that of any democrat these days including RBG.
  4. Recently visited Harry Potter Theme Park at Universal Orlando! And F’me if I didn’t find are beloved Dobby (aka as RBG) The SCOTUS House Elf. Always confused me until Dobby came along otherwise I was thinking Yoda was just transgendered. Does anyone ever explain to Supreme Court Justices at this age that it’s called Jello? And that nap time does not start until I don’t know, say 2:00 pm?
  5. How about filing a complaint against her for these remarks? Evidently this is the new standard when a judge says something untoward. What’s sauce for the Kavanaugh is sauce for the Ginsburg.
  6. She has all the vigor and agility of a garden slug and the crude and addled thinking of an angry quisling.
    She needs to be taken down to the nearest industrial incinerator and disposed of.
  7. Nunya Bidness – ’cause most of us were raised to respect our laws and elders, and their rulings, unlike the Clinton s, who believe they are above it all. At least now, time can and will tell,,, at this point the only sauce is embalming fluid,,
  8. Hope seeing that picture does not pull on your personal heartstrings. It used to me , not any more. A scared elderly woman? She is not, than the vindictive phony twin of George Soros, both of which have thrown millions without any regard for under the bus without a second thought of.
  9. Let’s all just be thankful that the brilliant Justice misjudged the inevitability of the election of the most qualified person to ever run for anything in the history of this country. Now she is in a self imposed Supreme Court Tontine to determine if she can outlast the Deplorables until the country regains its Liberal Sanity. Thank you Ruth Bader Ginsburg for the best decision that you ever made!
  10. Maybe Ginsberg had heard that Kavanaugh was a likely Trump pick and she was worried that if he made it to the Court he would try to force himself on her in a fit of drunken lust.
    Or maybe she was afraid it might be the other way around.
    (Note: You have my sincere apologies for any mental images this comment may have evoked.)
  11. Don’t wait for her to die – impeach her NOW!
    (that’s the new rave, ain’t it?)
    Congress should look into this. That’s she’s anti-American and anti-Constitutional is inarguable.
    If it’s true that “only the good die young” then this mollusk will be with us forever.
    izlamo delenda est …
  12. Ok, i read all the comments on this before me and nobody stated the obvious.
    The demoncrats say they’re going to inititate impeachment against Kav if they get control of the Congress.
    We have control of Congress right now.
    Inititate impeachment hearings against this old bag for her conduct. Her statements show she is not impartial and she has not recused herself from cases involving Trump.
    IMpeach her old wrinkly ass right now.
    The demoncrats have endorse impeachment for this kind of shit.
    So do it.
  13. Maybe if someone would just talk to her and say “Ruth it’s time”. 84 F’ing years old! When her only response is ‘I like grapes’, it’s time to give it a rest, the same answer as 10 years ago.
  14. I wonder what the left would do if she had a stroke and went into a coma? Would they demand she stay on life support in order to stop Trump from appointing a replacement and how would that go over with the public.
