It’s Bad: New Emails Show Huma Abedin Mishandled Classified Info on Barrage of Sensitive Issues

TownHall: Government watchdog Judicial Watch has just released a new batch of emails, more than 1600 pages worth, belonging to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and longtime aide Huma Abedin. The emails, released by the State Department as part of a lawsuit, show further mishandling of classified information.

The list of egregious incidents is long, including exposure of a classified conversation about U.S.-Israeli relations, the war against drug cartels in Mexico, details about Clinton’s arrival in war torn Afghanistan, Afghanistan elections and much more. Here are a few, bolding is mine:

On March 8, 2009, Clinton sent classified information using her unsecure hdr22@clintonmail.com account.  She forwarded to former Senator George Mitchell an email from Tony Blair relating to Palestine. The email had been sent to her at hr15@att.blackberry.net. Clinton responded to Blair, saying she had forwarded the email to Mitchell. A former Senate majority leader, Mitchell was serving as Special Envoy for Middle East Peace.

On June 23, 2009, U.S. diplomat Martin Indyk, who had his security clearance suspended in 2000 for “possible sloppiness” in the handling of classified information, sent a memo containing classified information to Abedin’s unsecure email account.  The memo, written for Clinton, pertained to Indyk’s discussions with top Israeli officials:

“Could I ask you to review the memo below that I wrote yesterday on my return from Israel?  If you think it worthwhile, I’d be very grateful if you showed it to HRC (I have already shared it with Mitchell and Feltman). A confrontation with Bibi appears imminent. I’ve never been one to shy away from that, as she may know.  But it has to be done carefully, and that doesn’t appear to be happening.  And I’m concerned that she will be tarred with the same brush if this leads to a bad end.  So I think she needs to make sure that the friction is productive.  I’ve made some suggestions at the end of the memo.”

On December 1, 2009, Abedin sent classified information about foreign military contributions to the Afghanistan war effort to her unsecure email account. The email originated with State official Sean Misko who wrote to Deputy Chief of Staff Jake Sullivan that he first “accidentally” sent it on the “high side” (secure) but was resending.  MORE HERE

  1. organgrinder, I saw that report yesterday, too. Huma didn’t mention Carlos’s underage victims (of course) because all that matters is her son. Dear God, to think about Huma having a place in the WH is terrifying.

  2. Hillary and Huma have broken numerous rules, regulations, laws and even common sense. But the FBI and DOJ have been unable to find their intent. They were just careless.

9 months ago I was pulled over and given a ticket for not wearing a seat belt. The penalty was immediate. It cost me $100 and about 60 minutes at the municipal building waiting in line to pay my fine.

Thus far the penalty I faced for unintentionally and carelessly forgetting to wear my seat belt (that one day) far exceeded all penalties Hillary and Huma have faced.

Of course the severity of my not wearing a seat belt that day caused ripples world-wide and endangered our nation due to the sensitive National Security issues involved.

When will Hillary, Huma and their staff be treated equally under the law?

  3. Pay the Clinton Foundation; get access to State Department intelligence (?).

    “Mishandled” my ass.

Corruption and Treason: with malice aforethought. This shit was set up months before HRC became Secretary of State – and Obola knew about it – probably got a kick-back.

    izlamo delenda est …

  4. Clearly, the Democrat party from Obama on down were engaged in a mass scale espionage operation, selling off informatuon to all and sundry. Just following the lead of the master, William Jefferson Clinton, Esq.

  5. it is simply that the rule of law is DEAD.

clinton, obama, huma, comely, well a lot of scumbags politicians should be serving time or executed for their crimes as they are that egregious. if you or I did just 1% of what they did we would be in prison for life.

the fix has been in for a long time. keep your head down it will get worse.

  6. stop talking about intent. there was obvious intent and one does not require intent. ignorance is not an excuse.

there entire intent was to subvert the law. they did it to avoid the law and the record keeping rules because they knew and intended to break numerous laws.

try telling the next cop who stops you for a traffic violation that you had no intent.

  7. How can anyone in the Department of Justice look themselves in the mirror knowing what they are allowing to go on. They should all be ashamed and embarrassed. Jeff Sessions, if you don’t get off your dead ass and get something done on this then you are a piece of shit!

  8. I think it’s getting close to the time where the people that elected President Trump start demanding answers from the WH as to why this evidence keeps coming out due to the hard work of a private sector group and why the feds don’t appear to be doing anything about it and other cases. The last election was a close run thing (while Trump won the electoral college had the popular vote distribution been a little different…..) and if the core Trump supporters decide they could no longer trust him and the Dems come to their senses and nominate a decent candidate then Trump loses in 2020 and the GOP may well lose the Senate and Congress as well. It’s coming up to nine months now and while the obstacles raised by the Dems, Soros, Bezos, the Media, the GOP and all the others have been many and great he has to show his supporters that crimes committed in the past will not go unpunished.

  9. Justice appears to be dead in our government.
Not holding my breath waiting for these criminals to do jail time – I can’t see it happening. There is no one stepping up to the plate to do the right thing.
