Marine Corps Plan Says Women Won’t Have To Do Any Pullups

Lowering standards just for one group of people is demeaning to the people they lowered it for and an insult to the people who had consistently met standards already.

We don’t NEED to be able to do every thing in life, much less do it equally. It’s a ridiculous belief.

Daily Caller: The Marine Corps has proposed a new fitness plan for females that does not require them to do any pullups to meet physical standards.

While female Marines will strongly be incentivized to do those pullups to achieve a high score, they can opt for the “flexed-arm hang” instead. For example, females can’t score higher than 50 points for a flexed-arm hang, but just one pullup will net them 51 points, Marine Corps Times reports.

“I think this is a great way to implement the change as it gives an incentive to increase a score without the fear of failing the PFT,” Col. Robin Gallant told Marine Corps Times. “As women work on them to increase their score, they can be confident that they won’t fail a PFT. I think this is a huge benefit and I’m glad it might become a reality.”

  1. Several years ago I had a Black customer who was a city fireman. He graduated 2nd in his class at fire school, and he was pissed when they lowered the standards for blacks because everyone then thought that’s how he got in.

  2. Not being able to to drag their worthless asses over obstacles should be pretty helpful in actual combat.

Won’t get people killed or anything.

Anyone involved in putting women in combat units needs to be suicided.

  3. All part of the plan.

If the wymyn don’t have to do pull-ups, neither should the men.
    Or sit-ups.
    Or push-ups.

    Just nail-filing.
    Crocheting.
    Needlepoint.
    Hair-dyeing techniques.
    Bon-bon eating.
Whinnying and griping while watching “The Five.”

    izlamo delenda est …

  4. I guess what the Marines say about the other services is about to change:

The Army is a bunch of wimps.
The Navy is a bunch of pussies
The Air Force is barely on our side

  5. WTF ever happened to women demanding equality? You want into combat? Fine. But don’t lower the standards one iota. We have the best fighting force in the world because they are tough badasses, not because they are a bunch of equal, gender-sensitive pussies more worried about not offending their fellow soldiers than about kicking ass and taking names.

This crap really pisses me off.

  6. Racer X, you need to understand that women can do anything a mere male can do, and do it better (and besides, men suck)!

I think the answer is to segregate the combat units; separate them into two groups: The Swinging Dicks and The Piss-flippers. Let the women fight as a unit, but make sure they have submitted their last letters home before combat operations begin; I am sure they will be successful providing a diversion to screen the male warriors’ attack.

Unfortunately the casualties will probably be disastrous; not to mention the rape and torture of those unwise enough to be captured alive. Pity, really, but hey, “I am woman, hear me roar.”

  7. If none of these women can complete p90x, they have no business trying for the Marines.

(I was able to get halfway through but my pull ups were….ahem….modified. Not bad for an old broad, but I’m realistic enough to know I’m not Leatherneck material.

  8. all brought to you by bobby “diversity is our strength,” gates… then he left the army and proceeded to sodomize the boys scouts of america with homo scout leaders … betcha soros buys a coupla million of gates books.

  9. You can get a pull-up bar for $25, put it in any door that you don’t need to close.

Try it daily or every other day.
I walk by mine and drop 25 without any problem.
My max is 40 for one set.
I do 100 in four sets.
    It is a great exercise.
Overhand works the back more, underhand attacks the biceps but all upper body comes into play. Not triceps.

Of course I am a privileged white male, so just forget what I just wrote…
