A junior grade officer, who is gay and married to another man, baited Lt. Cmdr. Modder by asking him questions on homosexuality.
The subordinate then complained to their Captain who filed a “detachment for cause” letter on the chaplain.
Fortunately, a review board could see the distinction between an individual’s right to their own religious beliefs being separate from competently carrying out one’s duties as chaplain.

Plant some coke in the the Lieutenants belongings (not a lot, just a gram or so) in some place where he’d not be likely to find it. Then at his meals sprinkle a little in once a day for a few weeks as well a a couple of flakes on his tooth brush. Then have an anonymous complaint that he’s a drug user lodged. The blood and hair test will show residual traces of the bolivian marching powder, a thorough search will turn up the drug in his belongs. It won’t matter whether or not people believe he was framed the navy would have to give him a courts martial and toss him out. Even if for some strange reason (Obama) he dodged dismissal his reputation would forever be under a cloud and advancement would be next to impossible even in this new and brave new navy.
Really, get this shit fixed a whole lot of the free world relies on the USN to have their backs. We sure as hell do especially with Russia trying to get control of a huge piece of the Arctic that is currently under Canadian jurisdiction. The junior officer here couldn’t make the distinction between a person’s beliefs and the person’s ability to do his or her duties competently.
