Blagojevich awaits Obama decision on commutation

CST: One of the last chances for former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich to win early release from federal prison rests on a pending decision by the man whose Senate seat Blagojevich was convicted of trying to sell: President Barack Obama.

Blagojevich, 60, is in the fourth year of a 14-year prison term. He recently submitted a request to have his sentence on wide-ranging corruption convictions commuted, the U.S. Department of Justice has confirmed.

Obama has rarely mentioned his fellow Chicago Democrat since Blagojevich’s December 2008 arrest, a month after Obama won the presidency, so it’s hard to gauge if he’d give Blagojevich’s request for a reduced sentence serious thought.  MORE

  1. Blago “tried” to sell a government position, and got 14 years in prison.

Hillary “DID sell” government positions, federal contracts and sold access to those who make decisions…..She hasn’t even been indicted, let alone convicted.

  2. If Blagojevich had sold drugs to children while carrying a weapon or an illegal immigrant who had murdered and raped underage girls, he would have been released by Obama.

However, Nothing Obama, the American hater, does will surprise me anymore.

  3. Afterthought: if I was a sleaze bag like Bloggy, the last thing I’d want is for the public to know how low life I am that I beg for a pardon. Makes me think that obama has become incommunicado to Bloggy. Aaahhh the shifty, slip-slidey ways of the left. It is especially wonderful to watch them stab each other.

  4. Blago had the goods on Obama but the Chitcago Democrap regime kept the lid on it to protect the anointed one leaving him hanging in the wind. Remember the evidence the court refused to hear?
