   …also, if THAT were true, there would be far fewer single parent families and almost NO need for abortions.

   Unfortunately, there’s one PARTICULAR organ that actually seems to STOP the brain from working, something or other about oxygenated blood being tied up elsewhere…

10. I didn’t view the video but I can guess where it’s headed. I wondered years ago what the mortality rate of organ doners is vs. the general, non-doner population.

    There’s a lot of money to be made in the area of organ transplants, but BY LAW not one penny goes to the donor or the donor’s estate.

    Buying and selling is inherent in the right to private property ownership. By the state telling me I am prohibited from selling my organs but that the state may do so, it is in effect declaring that the state owns me. Fuck that.

    They want parts and will sedate you before they do a 8 minute test to see if there’s any movement and then declare you dead. This just happened to a friend of mine’s wife in Arkansas where you have no legal right not to donate. I have another friend that was there and he walked around the hospital that night there were a number of families grieving because of the same thing. They do it on a Sunday night from what he could tell? It was death and cut night.

14. Whether you want to or not, there are places where if you don’t specifically say you DO NOT want to be an organ donor, they will list you as a donor (on your license or in the books).

16. I came into the world with these and I plan on leaving it with a full set. I don’t even donate blood, it’s all mine.

    I’m diabetic but my sugar levels are top notch. I’m not allowed to donate blood. But people with Hiv or some kinda variation, are encouraged to.

19. Many religions believe that a solid 3 days are needed for all of the psychic energy to fully leave the dead body. It should NOT be disturbed during that time. I have NEVER been an organ donor as a result.

20. Ghouls. Even vultures wait for something to die before picking the corpse apart. Had a situation in my family where the organ harvesting ghouls contacted the family for donation before the hospital had even notified them that the family member was in hospital, on death’s doorstep.
