Conan the Hero Dog Is Coming to the White House

Lifezette: The brave Belgian Malinois who helped take out the ISIS terrorist leader last weekend will visit 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

The military canine hero who helped take out ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is on her way to the White House, as Fox News, The Washington Post and other outlets are reporting.

President Donald Trump tweeted out a photo treatment of the dog — whom he identified as “Conan” — on Wednesday.

He said the animal will be “leaving the Middle East for the White House sometime next week!”

The photo of Conan — an obviously edited photo — shows the president giving a medal to the dog.

Trump called it a “very cute recreation” — but said the “‘live’ version of Conan” soon will be visiting Washington, D.C.

“Conan was hurt during the mission after being exposed to live electrical wires while pursing Baghdadi through a tunnel underneath a compound in northwestern Syria,” Gen. Frank McKenzie, who leads U.S. Central Command, said on Wednesday, as Fox News reported.

The dog has worked with special operations forces for four years; she’s taken part in about 50 missions and has since returned to active duty, he also indicated. more here

You know jack about dogs, you can’t train a cowardly dog to attack nor can you train a brave dog to be cowardly, if what you say is true then why do certain breeds make up the majority of police and military dogs?

They are selected for their bravery under duress, I served with these wonderfully brave animals for 34 years during many conflicts across the globe.

Your suggestion that these animals are not intrinsically brave is simply wrong.

  2. I said it before and I’ll say it again; whatever food is the healthiest, finest, and the dog loves, she gets till the end of her days. And she goes to wherever she is happiest. If that means she stays on a base that trains dogs as a D.I. or goes to a farm so she can chase and play with kids, whatever makes her the happiest. Hang the cost. Patriot dog lovers will gladly cover the cost.

  3. You know, thinking back to all of my friends and acquaintances, I would say about 90% of those who were Dems, didn’t seem to love dogs like we do. They never owned one and, if they did in the past, didn’t want another one. Probably just me, but what do I know?

  4. My little rescue Rosco, had his ass beaten twice, by the Great Dane across the road.
He still bows up at her.
If that aint brave, I don’t know what is.

  5. Burner is lost when it comes to understanding dogs: fear and bravery are as real in canines as they are in humans. The reward to a dog is felt as much by the dog as it is to a human.

  6. I have a little dog (17 pounds) who barks like 75 pounds who chases 75 pound dogs outta my yard. Smart, quick, and BRAVE, she is.

Maybe Conan can bite the Nationals’ Doolittle on the ass for his refusal (oh Trumps’ so divisive) to come to the White House, proving he’s just a little snowflake as__ole who has mixed politics and sports badly.

  7. My neighbors have a small female mutt dog who runs way to the back of their long lot many hundreds of yards to bark and charge at the big deer who come in small herds, and is very successful at scaring them off! She is defending her home! Just like my cat when a mouse invades our home, he would risk anything to get the enemy. My hero cat is the best cat ever I tell him.

  8. I have 4 German Shepherds. Please don’t insult their bravery. They are one of the smartest and bravest breeds out there. There isn’t any fooling these kids. My dogs are smarter than your “honor roll student”. Go Trump.
