PJM:
George Shultz, who served as secretary of state for 6 years in the Reagan administration, died at his home on the campus of Stanford University. He was 100.
A Marine veteran of World War II, Shultz excelled in the worlds of academia, public service, and corporate America, and was widely respected by his peers from both political parties. After serving as treasury and labor secretary under Richard Nixon, he became CEO of the construction giant Bechtel in 1975. He joined the Reagan administration as secretary of state in 1982 and served until Reagan left office. He was the longest-serving secretary of state since Cordell Hull in 1925. read more
Covid took him too soon…
The hands on the clock strike again. RIP

Somehow… Trump will be blamed. 🙄
Oddly enough, He was the Answer in the LA Times Crossword Puzzle Today..
Weird Timing…RIP Buddy!
Another Trump’s fault China virus death.
Rest in peace.
I remember reading Schultz’s description of his WW2 Marine Corp service. He was part of a Marine Corps contingent sent to Iceland early in the war in order to prevent the National Socialist Krauts from grabbing it for themselves.
They were at the ass end of nowhere with little to no backup if the Krauts decided to make an issue of it.
I loved him in Hogan’s Heroes!
I loved his comic strip “Peanuts “!
No, no, he was the German sergeant on Hogans Heroes.
So, covid then.
