NYP: New depths to Jimmy Carter’s fecklessness have emerged through the declassification of State Department cables relating to the fall of the Shah of Iran.
As reported by the BBC, the Ayatollah Khomeini, in January 1979, secretly sought Carter’s assistance in overcoming opposition from Iran’s military, still loyal to the shah. Khomeini promised that if he could return to Iran from exile in France, which the United States could facilitate, he would prevent a civil war, and his regime would not be hostile to Washington.

If Jimma Cartah was suckered by a killer rabbit( the Secret Service should’ve used a holy hand grenade to kill the rabid wabbbit) then it was easy peasy lemon squeezy for the Ayatollah Khomenei to sucker him into thinking he was a good guy who could bring peace to Iran. He never met an anti American bad guy or Israel hater he didn’t like or try to appease. And to think I was snookered into voting for Mr. Peanut twice (the second time was a bigger mistake than the first time even though he lost to Reagan) because it was the so called Christian thing to do
