Confusion is growing around Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti’s plan to relocate the homeless to recreation centers during the coronavirus outbreak, which contradicts Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines.
The Los Angeles Times reported this weekend that clashes over the city’s policies threaten the overall success of the fight to stop the spread of the respiratory disease.
Officials are concerned that if the virus spreads among the city’s growing homeless population — which reached nearly 60,000 last year — it could overwhelm local hospitals.
But the city’s ongoing plan to move 6,000 homeless people indoors could expose more homeless people to the virus. More

I’d like to see the infection rates among the homeless there and everywhere else. I imagine they live a vaccination free life and wonder how their immune systems compare to that of other vaccination intensive people.
And that would have to consider the highly unhealthy lifestyle they live of poor sanitation, alcohol and drug use.
FWIW, I haven’t had a vaccination of any kind since I got out of the Army over 50 years ago and have never caught anything, flue or otherwise. I usually know multiple people that catch the flu every year and they almost always have had a flu vaccination when I haven’t had one and don’t catch it.
Go figure.

Garcetti has been a malignant presence in LA, like di blasio has been in NYC. Both are LESS thsn good for nothing. Meghan markel almost looks good by comparison. Almost.
L.A. had better be testing each homeless person they relocate before crowding that individual into a confined space with other homeless.
Quarantine those that test positive for 14 days from the time of the test and not touch any one else living on the street unless they are in distress.
Otherwise, they’ll just be condemning the most vulnerable to get the virus. This could have been avoided or the problem reduced in scale had the L.A. taken serious steps to curb homelessness, now the whole city is going to have to pray that none of these unfortunates come down with the CCP flu before they can take measures to prevent widespread contagion.

Remember that 2 of the “conservative” candidates the leftist/progressive CalGOP sent out to lose the last 30 years backed Eric for Gov! A third backed the winner! No conservative would not for the leftists the GOP has put forward the last 40 years; including the carpetbagger last time! there are a lot of “snarling Arlen” GWB Republicans in cal; but they are a very small minority!
The problem in Cal the last 40 years is the state GOP was taken over by GWB “republicans”; yes the same GWB – who along with his wife and daughters told us VOTE CLINTON! in ’16.
