Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said he “apologized” to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for failing to send the millions of tax dollars in aid to the country “fast enough.”
During an appearance on “Face the Nation,” McConnell discussed approving the supplemental aid, which provides further funding to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan.
MSNBC host Margaret Brennan asked McConnell about his recent phone call with Zelenskyy regarding the funding.
“Well, one of the things I apologized for is [that] it’s taken too long,” McConnell said.
“If you go back to the beginning of this administration. Even though I support it obviously, the supplemental requests worked hard to get Republican votes for it.”
“This all started with the precipitous withdrawal from Afghanistan,” he said.
“It’s like sending out a green light to all of the rogue regimes around the world that the Americans are going home.”
“Number two, not giving the Ukrainians what they need soon enough,” he continued. more

I read an article that said the almost $61 billion won’t do any good except for extending the ‘war’. The $74 billion they already got hasn’t done any good, so why should the $61 billion do any different?
Maybe if they spent the money on the war … but they would rather make the Ukrainian millionaires more wealthy along with the kickbacks to our dirty politicians.
