NASCAR and Lowe’s Deliver Over 100 Tiny Homes for North Carolina Hurricane Victims

LEGAL INSURRECTION

The last time I checked on the status of the Hurricane Helene recovery in North Carolina, a spokesperson for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) apologized for the agency failing to deliver dozens of travel trailers and manufactured homes.

The “apology” came in response to Charlotte station WBTV grilling the representative about the lack of trailers being delivered to impacted families,

Now, two private organizations have stepped in to build and deliver over 100 tiny homes for victims of the historic storm. MORE

  1. Maybe FEMA will just go away.
I bet there are some NFL players that could donate a dozen each.
And those that do fund raisers, don’t donate any of their own money.

“(FEMA) apologized”, for doing what they were told to do.

  2. NC just installed its new governor – a Democrat replacing a Democrat, but he took immediate steps yesterday toward helping those impacted by Helene, starting with ensuring people had a place to stay during the winter months. Don’t know why his predecessor didn’t take those steps… hopeful that people will be better taken care of by their state. And then that Trump will help out in a couple of weeks.

  3. People have allowed themselves to be treated by crap by their rulers. Why didn’t 10 or 20 million people come out in support of the j6ers or the truckers? Why haven’t millions poured into the streets to stop the invasion or H1B visas?

  4. “People have allowed themselves to be treated by crap by their rulers.”

It’s not that simple. Yes, SOME people feel they are treated like crap but many don’t, and that describes the divide of our political parties and the impossibility of common ground.

While half were screaming bloody murder over the Covid lockdowns, the other half thought more extreme measures were needed. Half thought it a travesty the way J-6 prisoners were treated, and the other half thought all those insurrectionists should be executed. Half wants the border closed, the invaders deported and our communities better policed and made safe, the other half has their allegiance with the illegals and criminals, somehow thinking they were just dealt a bad hand in life. Half think abortion is wrong, and half don’t. And half want to keep propping up Ukraine, while the other is tired of the useless slaughter and wants peace.

This is where we are at. Elections are swayed by the one-half convincing that 10 – 15 % in the middle that they can do a better job. But more often than those “people” of the party in power are happy with how things are, or at least happy enough not to let those other guys govern.
