NYT Op-Ed: ‘I Thought the Bragg Case Against Trump Was a Legal Embarrassment. Now I Think It’s a Historic Mistake’

Revolver: If you glanced at the New York Times today, you might be shocked at the “real news” they featured. In a rare burst of honesty and clarity, the Old Gray Hag actually let a well-respected legal professor from Boston University publish an opinion piece. This piece didn’t just poke holes in Alvin Bragg’s sham “hush money” case—it blasted it into a pile of dust. The professor called it not only a legal embarrassment but a historic mistake. Ouch.

His name is Professor Shugerman, and while he was never onboard with Biden’s show trial, led by Fat Alvin Bragg, after what he’s seen unfold, he’s gone from being embarrassed for the entire US injustice system, to now believing this trial is a historic misstep that hinges on Monday’s opening arguments. Professor Shugerman had to pick his jaw up from the floor after listening to prosecutors lay out their case.

The New York Times:

About a year ago, when Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan district attorney, indicted former President Donald Trump, I was critical of the case and called it an embarrassment. I thought an array of legal problems would and should lead to long delays in federal courts.
After listening to Monday’s opening statement by prosecutors, I still think the Manhattan D.A. has made a historic mistake. Their vague allegation about “a criminal scheme to corrupt the 2016 presidential election” has me more concerned than ever about their unprecedented use of state law and their persistent avoidance of specifying an election crime or a valid theory of fraud. 1. Bragg and his cabal know the case is bunk as hell, but they believe they have complete control over picking the judges (appellate included) and the jury is rigged by definition. They also have help from Biden’s puppeteers.

My hope is that it backfires in a major way, and Trump would be the one to do it.

  2. Was Bragg admitted into a college because of Affirmative Action(AA)? How ’bout Law School? Were AA and DEI taken into consideration when he was admitted into the Bar? Was he hired because of AA or DEI? Was he protected and endorsed by the thoroughly corrupted MSM? No smart attorney would risk his reputation by getting involved in baseless and obvious political trial. I suspect whoever put this charade together, selected Bragg, knowing he’s not too smart and he is expendable.

  3. Yes it is bunk as hell including the gag order especially when you consider that the Complicit, Bought & Paid For, Knee-Pad Networks are screaming their lies and hatred of Trump all over the TV, Facebook, Tik-Tok, Comedy Central, etc! Ya think that’s not intended to influence the Jury???

  4. “The professor called it not only a legal embarrassment but a historic mistake.”

We have seen a lot of historical precedents obliterated of late. Historical precedent was forever altered in 2020 when state Dem AG’s went against their state Constitution and altered the voting procedures, all under the guise of Covid safety.

I wonder what this professor thinks of the Roger Stone prosecution, or the one launched against Steve Bannon, or the RICO indictment that just came down in Georgia yesterday involving Trump and 18 or his closet advisors. Please comment of those, professor.

As for this being a historical mistake, if it sours Trump’s appeal with the voters and he loses, then it was not a mistake at all.

  5. If what Sundance said about the NYT is true, it would not surprise me to found out that Prof Shugerman is CIA. Alvin should be worried, but the ignorant fool enjoys the smell of his own fart too much to look down the road. Or look down South to Fulton County, GA.

  6. interesting bragg/biden… have failed to recognize the misstep. they only have authority when recognized as authority. as our government continues its march to failure, citizens will increasingly choose to see it as rogue. when too many citizens have suffered the governments corruption of justice, authority is lost.
