I bumped this because it should be seen by everyone, and I mean everyone. I want progs to answer to this. -bfh

So, according to the Obama administration, if you are a Muslim in Illinois who signed a contract to work for a company, but you find that you just don’t want to do something your boss tells you to do, why, you just don’t have to do it. Oh, and if you are fired for refusing to do the work you contracted to do, why, Obama will sue your employer for you.

This is what has happened in the Land Of Lincoln with the US Government vs the Star Transport trucking company. A couple of Muslims signed a contract to work for a trucking company, a contract that says that drivers will take any load that a company administrator assigns and will deliver that payload. Period. The terms of employment are known ahead of time among all employees.

But a couple of Muslims for Star Transport found out that their boss was going to ask them to transport a load of alcohol–a job that everyone knows the company has–and these Muslims refused to take the load because: religion.

The Obama administration is suing the trucking company for violating these Muslims’ freedom of religion because after they refused to take the load as per the contract they signed, they were properly and logically fired.

Of course, there is nothing in Islam that would prevent a Muslim from transporting alcohol. Some Muslims say that drinking alcohol violates their religious tenets, but no one was demanding they drink it and their transportation job would not be for their consumption. It is for other Americans’ consumption.

Their refusal had nothing at all to do with their personal religious needs and is nothing more than another Muslim attempt to enforce on all Americans a sharia-like ban on alcohol.

After all, taken to its logical extreme, the transportation of all alcohol would have to be banned just to avoid “offending” some wandering Muslim.

  1. Hmmm, so Christians refusing to TAKE a job because it violates their religious beliefs is a horrible violation of human rights, but mUslims refuse to carry out a job they accepted to do is a laudable display worthy of federal intervention.

Where do I get off this planet?

  2. I find nothing in the story that connects Obama to this directly, nor do I see anything from the root link that mentions anything about any legal action taken against, or for the company or from the “Obama administration”.

Where is the link here? Yes there is an implication that some legal action is happening, but no link to anything on the record.

  3. Some Dhimmi rewards of Muslim non compliance include:
    • Paid Time Off
    • Employer Kowtow
    • Self Discretionary Dress-code
    • Workplace Menu Accommodations

In return for a perpetual, belligerent resentment, it’s a pretty good deal & some of us get to be more equal than others.

  4. Once again, let me state how it pisses me off that I am FORCED to take the day off on Martin Luther King Day when my employer is not open for business, yet I have to take a vacation day if I want to stay home on Good Friday.

Time for Christians to remind the government that this is OUR religion, and we’re sick of being marginalized in favor of others.

Just pretend it’s in honor of Robert E. Lee’s birthday.

And if the governor hadn’t vetoed the bill, this behavior would be perfectly legal in AZ.

  8. Liberation theology espoused a “preferential option for the poor”. Obama theology mandates a “preferential option for the Moor”.

But it’s not just wordplay. And it’s not merely “preferential”.

    Dhimmitude is here.

  9. We’re traveling the path of Europe, without the necessity that Europe had, with our eyes wide open and our minds slammed shut.

We’re either the dumbest – or the laziest – muthahfuckahs on Earth.

  10. @crazyeighter:

Every few years, MLK Day happens to fall on my birthday (as it did this year).

Those are the years I can cope better, by pretending it’s GFY Day and sticking it to blacks and Muslims by forcing them to honor a white Christian woman.

  11. A guy who used to work for this trucking company called Rush. He said when they hire you, you sign a paper that says you agree to transport anything they assign you to transport.
These guys would have had to sign that paper to be working there.
They are doing this stuff on purpose. They are great at playing our own system against us.

  12. WTF is wrong with this country?it is illegal for Christians to refuse service to non Christians but when the table turns the Hocus Pocus POTUS gets involved?I smell something in the air and the Rock ain’t cooking it,,it’s the smell of bullshit,,,or maybe it’s the smell of the Crusades warming up for round 2.

  13. First of all, id like to point out that this entire article is wrong from the top down. The Us Goverment is not suing so that muslims can refuse to work. Thats a damned lie, sir. Second, where is your outrage over the bill in Georgia that would allow Christians to turn folks away based on religious conviction? Its the same damn thing but ive not seen an ounce of outrage over it from anyone outraged over this perceived threat.
