Remember the Salon writer who said, “want a gun, take a bullet”?
Bearing Arms uncovered that in a previous essay written for Salon, D. Watkins admits to, hypocritically, owning 2 firearms while residing in Baltimore. This is a city with some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation.
Maybe he owns his guns legally (was he shot first to see what it’s like?), but it’s doubtful when you read this sentence –
“I’d rather be caught with a gun than without one.”
Sounds like he knows his guns are illegal.

Watkins seems damned by his confession that he “owns two guns.”
It should be very simple for the appropriate law enforcement agencies to simply cross-check his name against their gun registry, and then file for a search warrant if the two guns he admitted to owning are not registered.
