Don’t get me wrong. Of course I am hoping for a happy ending. But sometimes young people disappear and go on adventures. I certainly did. It’s an exploration.

I know nothing about the young man, and so I sincerely hope he turns up unharmed and with a reasonable explanation.
In the linked story, his mother Monica Conyers, who was on Detroit city council for quite a while, “pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit bribery and served time in jail.” That is not correct. She served time in prison. There’s a difference.
I don’t wish harm on most people but this guy looks old enough to take care of himself-anyway-I don’t really care..
That beard looks like a muslim beard. Is that why it was important that he shaved it?
@Beachmom — I either read or heard something about ISIS training about a month or so ago about beard shaving and fitting in with those around you. I hope this isn’t the case.

Hope the young man is found. The disturbing part for me is the statement of the roommate that he shaved his head and beard that fact along with his age(21years) suggest a possible case of juvenile schizophrenia,the story unfortunately gives no clue if he has bedn showing signs of odd behavior.
