Harvey Weinstein’s contract with The Weinstein Company reportedly blocked him from being fired over sexual harassment claims and settlements.
TMZ broke the wild story that he had specific language to stop a firing over sexual harassment allegations, as long as he wasn’t charged with a crime. MORE

According to the contract, if Weinstein “treated someone improperly in violation of the company’s Code of Conduct,” he must reimburse TWC for settlements or judgments. Additionally, “You [Weinstein] will pay the company liquidated damages of $250,000 for the first such instance, $500,000 for the second such instance, $750,000 for the third such instance, and $1,000,000 for each additional instance.”
The contract says as long as Weinstein pays, it constitutes a “cure” for the misconduct and no further action can be taken.
This reminds me of both pre-nups and carbon-credits.

The vast majority of people (of all genders) who “enjoyed” Harvey Weinstein’s company, didn’t do it because they enjoyed Harvey Weinstein’s company. Right now, they can not “enjoy” his company, either. So, for now, Harvey Weinstein’s on “the down low”. If he can “rehabilitate” himself, to be able to spread the “joy” again, he’ll be right back where he was.

Harvey didn’t bankroll with his own, magic money. Harvey spent other people’s money. Some of which, just happened, to get left behind, stuck to his moist skin. Bankruptcy (after bankruptcy) in a business fueled by other people’s money? We may have found America’s 2024 Democratic Candidate for President of The United States. (2020 if they can get the “Lebanese” caucus silenced by the Islamic caucus: “Grab ‘em by the Pu$$y? Blow me!”)
