THEY JUST DON”T CARE. They are politicians first, last and always. It is never about us or the country, it is always about them and their backers. From the dog catcher on up.

Like their constituents, elected officials are waiting for the taxpayers (federal and state government) to pay for their neglect and corruption. As their infrastructure, law enforcement and housing deteriorates their chances for taxpayer assistance becomes greater (particularly around election time when democrats hold the federal and state purse strings).
