RedAlertPolitics: Tempers flared in at the Texas State Capitol in Austin on Monday afternoon when a debate over tightening immigration laws (i.e. Senate Bill 4) turned into a scuffle filled with ungentlemanly language and threats.
It all began after State Rep. Matt Rinaldi (R-Irving) said he called U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on hundreds of protesters dressed in red t-shirts chanting in opposition to the immigration law.
Rinaldi said in a statement on Facebook that after his actions enraged state Rep. Poncho Nevarez (D-Eagle Pass) and other Hispanic lawmakers to where his life was threatened. He’s now under protective custody by the Department of Public Safety.
“Today, Representative Poncho Nevarez threatened my life on the House floor after I called ICE on several illegal immigrants who held signs in the gallery which said ‘I am illegal and here to stay.’” Rinaldi wrote noting that several Democrats encouraged the protesters to break the law. “When I told the Democrats I called ICE, Representative Ramon Romero physically assaulted me, and other Democrats were held back by colleagues.”
Of course the story is all twisted with the likes of WP and other LSM,
As if the ILLEGAL PEOPLE in the same House are not crossing a line protesting US lawmaking when they are ILLEGAL?
He specifically said in SELF DEFENSE, you stupid democrat.
And Rinaldi is nothing but a hating hater who does nothing but hate based on SKIN COLOR. Hello? Protesters were wearing RED SHIRTS claiming to be actively breaking the law! Dingbat Poncho Nevarez is the only one here mentioning skin color.
*palm*face* no wonder nothing gets done with this level of unconscionable malformed logic playing out. Poncho Nevarez and the rest of the democrats belong on the playground to let the adults run the show.
Unleash the Rangers.
I knew the LSM would spin this story to make Rinaldi the bad guy and Poncho the saint. Thankfully yesterday was the last day of the Legislative session for 2 years unless Governor Abbott calls a special session and Sanctuary Cities in Texas are defunded.
Reminds me of the Amazing Racist when he picks up a load of day workers from Home Depot before driving them to the immigration office.
INS! I’ve got them right here!

State Troopers called to remove disruptive self-confessed Illegals from Legislature chamber.
Escorted out politely in small groups.
No arrests made.
No wonder these invaders have no fear.
Of course Poncho would complain. Those are his voters!
Pancho? Rinaldi?
CISCO!
PANCHO!
Rinaldi needs to bring Nevarez up on assault (among any other applicable) charges.
Hit these f*cking Leftists twice as hard as they attack.
Traitorous behavior these leftist have… Yoga the Hut
Was the Guy in the white suit Some kinda Texas Mob Boss ?
If Mr. Rinaldi didn’t put three rounds in Mr. Nevarez, he deserves whatever MS13 does to his family.
Interesting that Red Alert didn’t choose to include the video (I’m attaching a link) of what precipitated the call. I mixed it up on Rinaldi’s page momentarily – there were people there hammering him at first, then some cavalry showed up. One exchange made me laugh;
Poster 1 “typical….it’s everyone else’s fault except “Mr. Law and Order”…..there is no fucking fine print on the Statue of Liberty…it just says “give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free.”
Poster 2 “That you and 70 [now98] retards think the base of the Statue of Liberty is the equivalent of Federal Law is a testament to how fucked our education system is”
One person wrote me that it’s their right to peacefully assemble. I told him what was going on wasn’t an assembly. The rotunda was swarmed with protestors while holding signs saying “I’m illegal and here to stay”. Wasn’t anything peaceful ’em.
Here’s a short video. It’s just like Madison, except it didn’t go on as long. There probably wasn’t any destruction of property, or other charming behaviors. https://twitter.com/TheDailyBail/status/869249129532329984
Billy Fuster, you might be onto something. The guy is from Eagle Pass, down the road from Del Rio (Woflman Jack’s home). When I was working out of San Antonio, I used to cover for a guy whose route covered both those towns. He really got his nose out of joint that management didn’t put someone on for him that was more fluent in Spanish than moi. Management said suck it. I’m remarking more on the attitude and the difference overall between those two towns. In addition to the small towns, his district comprises the majority of the TX-Mexico border. He has a lot of skin in the game.
* the guy being the Texas State Representative of District 74 Poncho Nevarez. That district is huge, too.
District 74 is huge in area but much of it is sparsely populated rugged semi-arid land.
^ Don’t I know it.
If you’re holding a sign saying, “I’m an illegal!” thanks for helping ICE identify you!
