Our family spent some time with him — back in the day before we realized “Well, we’ll be damned! We’re Conservatives!”. He is one in a million, honestly. There are very few people in the average population who have his charm and folksiness, and it hits you like a blast from the Pied Piper. It has never been a mystery to me how it was possible for him to be successful in politics. He’s an amazing guy — it’s a tragedy he misused his talents.

He was a month or so in office when the Bin Laden crowd bombed the NYC World Trade Center, many killed and injured on Feb 26 1993. He was going to get them.
IIn October 2000 the USS Cole was bombed, many sailors killed and wounded. He was going to get them.
A year or so ago he admitted that he had many chances to kill Bin Laden in 1998, but he never took action.
