Victoria’s Secret Goes Bust

Mass Layoffs: Victoria’s Secret Is Going Broke After Making the Mistake of Going Woke

Red State: Victoria’s Secret is a corporation that made its money and popularity being a company that sold women’s clothing to women. The products ranged from tantalizing to comfortable, and it was all done with the backdrop of being a company that sold the feeling of sexiness to women.

But now they’re being forced to lay off a staggering 160 employees on the management level in an attempt to stop the bleeding.

What happened? The same thing that happens to many modern businesses nowadays, they went woke and now they’re going broke. Like every other instance of the “get woke go broke” pattern, Victoria’s Secret decided to abandon its concentration on feminine beauty and empowerment through femininity in order to embrace LGBT sentiments and transgenderism.

It went so far as to ditch its fashion show and it no longer has its famous “angels.” Despite it being a company that sells women’s products, it decided to strip itself of the glamour that made it so famous. more

  1. It’s no fun and definitely not sexy when ANYONE can be a Victoria’s Secret model now. Good job, VS!! Woo hoo!

(Hope the first person axed was the dumb dumb who inked the approval for their new direction.)

  2. Although the embrace of the transgender movement precipitated the predictable fall, their demise, along with all other “beauty” products and those catering to feminity, was a foregone conclusion.

Times have changed and the sexes are becoming blurred. Toxic masculinity and alluring seductive feminity are both now frowned on and ridiculed. Metro-sexual castrated males, submissive and non-threatening, are now embraced. And for women, those that want to be attractive and pursued by the opposite sex,
this antiqated thinking has only held women back. A bolder, I dress for myself and don’t need no man to fulfill me , well, they will all die old and alone, bitter to the very end.

If it is anything like the corporation I work for they will double-down and lay off more normal, productive people and promote the deviants into even higher level positions to make even more disastrous mistakes. They have pushed a lesbian into a senior executive position who’s only notoriety is she had an affair with her closeted lesbo assistant and ruined both her and the assistant’s marriages. Every decision she makes backfires, but they keep promoting her because of…..DEI.

  4. What’s delicious about this is that now they’ve knuckled under to political correctness they can never go back to their original, successful business model without being branded transphobes, homophobes, fatphobes, etc. I love this.

  5. The entire business model was centered around getting men to buy insanely expensive frilly underwear so their wives and/or girlfriends can act out some slutty hooker fantasy for them. I may not be a business mogul or a fashion industry giant, but I think moving to crotchless boxer shorts was the wrong way to go.

  6. I noticed in the past couple years, the manakins in mall store, the posters, etc.,went from looking like super models to looking like Lane Bryant porkers. Not a good move.

  7. I’m seeing more and more layoffs or hiring freezes among tech and large corporations.
Pay particular attention to who this effects…management positions. Telling where the fat accumulates. Same with govt bureaucracy.

  8. @ MJA the Wacoal, Anita, Amoena are expensive but well worth the cost in comfort, fit, longevity. I gave up on random shopping at places ages ago plus the Higbee’s closed in Ohio. Bali is good too. Also will add the company is reliable in delivery and communicates if there is a back order.

  9. So the trannies and lesbo soccer players aren’t buying negligees? Go figure. They could try selling the tuck it in and strap it down undies the sodomites seem to favor.

  10. Eugenia, checking it out now and liking what I see! Thank you!

Back in the 80’s VS was a favorite. I bought a few suits from them that were great! Italian brand name. Very classy and fit nicely. Too bad they decided to follow the trouble. Don’t they all.

  11. About 5 years ago I worked for a company that calibrated the friction testing equipment for airport runways. We were finishing the calibrations and making test pulls when we were notified we had to stop so that a 737 could prep for departure. It was a plane load of Victoria Secret models that was going don to the Virgin Islands for a photo shoot. They were all without make-up and about a third had their hair in curlers. Perfect thin bodies but they were some of the ugliest and homeliest women I have ever seen. It is amazing what make-up artists can accomplish.
