Wisconsin voters on Tuesday approved two referendums that change the state Constitution to prohibit clerks from using private grants to administer elections and add that only appointed election officials can perform tasks to conduct elections.
About 11:45 p.m. Tuesday night, with around 91% of the votes in, 54% of voters had approved the first question and 58% had approved the second. A majority of Wisconsin voters must vote in favor of a constitutional amendment in order for it to go into effect.
Because a majority of voters selected “yes,” clerks will no longer be able to apply for, accept or use private donations and grants, and the state Constitution will include that only election officials designated by law can perform tasks to conduct elections. More
Nothing to worry about then.
The elections apparatus always follows the rules. That’s how we always get free, fair and secure elections.
Having elections officiants be personally liable for the security of their election (local, county, state, national) might dial back a whole bunch of the shenanigans.
They probably already have alternative ways in place.
Capital punishment for those that already assisted the cheats in 2020 and 2022 would send a nice message too.
No Milwaukee Bucks?
