This was a setup. While Trump MIGHT just get ‘support’ from a goofball, what are the chances that said goofball would actually go and ask a question in a public forum like that?
Not likely. More likely he was a plant, trying to make it look like all of Trump’s supporters are ‘ignert birther rednecks’ etc PLUS ‘get’ him by criticizing his response.
Rush talked about this on Friday. He said that (in effect) that this could be a pivotal point for Trump, and that if he apologizes or backpedals he will go down and fast.
