Georgia: Candidate Ossoff’s Lack of National Security Experience Catching Up with Him

NTK: Jon Ossoff, the 30-year-old Democrat hoping to win a seat representing Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District, is playing defense following effective messaging that pokes holes in his national security resume.

After facing ads that question his ties to Al Jazeera (he worked with the company that “aired videos of Osama bin Laden justifying the 9-11 attacks” in the early 2000s) and accuse the young, former Hill staffer of inflating his resume (he touted a high-level national security clearance that he held for all of five months), CNN described Ossoff as “on his heels.”

At just 30 years old, Ossoff has made for a ripe target. He began the campaign touting his high-level national security clearance — though he has backed off his emphasis on the clearance after reports that he only held it for five months before leaving Rep. Hank Johnson’s staff. It’s led to endless attacks from Republicans who accuse Ossoff of inflating his resume.

  1. His “girlfriend”of TWELVE YEARS is now apparently, and finally, his fiancé. Congratulations, Jon. Even if she’s just letting you say that for the campaign.

  2. And thanks for frontpaging this runoff, MJA. I am confident we we will kick this putz out of Georgia and back to Georgetown, and put the final nail in the Special Election coffin, but every little bit helps.

But wait, there’s more. Being a Democrat he is lacking judgement, constitutional understanding, respect for the law, and morals. The list could continue, but time is limited and I’d rather not dwell on it.

  4. girlfriend of 12 years. Now there’s a guy that can’t make a commitment. If he’s that wishy washy in his personal life what would he be as a politician? Just another POS, that’s what.

  5. Al Jajizwad? Another useful idiot for Pisslam.

Security clearance, big deal. I had one in the summer of ’76 simply because I had an internship with NASA. My job was to smile, act nice, dress professionally and translate for tourists from France.
