The Police — Tough Job, No? – IOTW Report

The Police — Tough Job, No?

Tough content to watch at times. Watch out for the execution of a police officer with his back turned. (It’s what I used as the screen shot.) I’m giving an actual “trigger warning,” not those stupid alerts leftists give when an audience is going to clap too loudly.

The police used to be the good guys at a time when corruption and fast and loose play with the wooden shampoo was commonplace.

Now things are more scrutinized than ever before and the cops are the bad guys.

  1. Awesome find Tommy. I’ve forwarded this on to some LEO I know and have received back some emotional responses. If you don’t think they feel they are under siege you would be wrong. I cinsider my self a hell on wheels pistelero that puts the time in. There’s been many occasion in the last six months that when I see one of our county deputies on a stop by them selves where I’ll pull over a distance away and watch. The average guy needs to start supporting our LEO.

  2. I’ve trained with numerous Police Officers over the past 25 years. Been stopped by a few for just cause, too. 99.9% are no different than the citizens they serve, caring, loving and family oriented. They are good cops, good neighbors and good people. God Bless ’em.

  3. I’ll never forget the day when an officer down call went out over the air. I had just left a meeting with State officials on a crime reduction project. I remember the unmarked car I was driving, the exact location – waiting for a red light – and my initial reaction. My guts still get tight when I think of it.

Working undercover in a direct buy/bust operation with the DEA, Det. Wally Howard was shot to death by a 19 year old drug dealer from the Bronx. This happened in front of almost a dozen cops who were monitoring the buy.

I worked with Wally on midnights before he went to the narcs.

There is a fury that never quite leaves you. Sorry Fur, but this video leaves me shaking.

  4. sig94: It would have been a shame if that parking lot happened to be the same one where the police had previously scheduled a nighttime shotgun practice shoot.

“Oops – sorry, guys. Didn’t you get the memo?”

    😉

  5. I’m thankful for the good people who are drawn to serve their country and community in law enforcement and the military. Whenever I talk with a cop, I keep that in mind.

  6. Kinda lost it on my Most Lefty Friend yesterday over this subject.

Helped him with a flat and while we talked afterwards he went into his propaganda. He can’t help it, he’s bipolar. He just aint right in the head. He does it all the time. It’s like Tourette’s with him. I usually don’t even respond unless there is an audience to shame him with by exposing his faulty thinking and incorrect “facts”.

He went down the path of BLM crap and, in order to set up the idea that young black men were being mowed down by the law, asked me if I was likely to be shot by the police. I answered: ‘Yeah, If I threaten the cop’s life and give him crap at a stop – I’m more likely to be shot than a black man – the data shows that. Your premise is based on a falsehood’.

After a few exchanges – boy did his bipolar ways get into high gear – I was pretty pissed at him at this point but not trying to over-talk him and waiting for him to finish his sentences.

I calmly told him his BLM crap was putting my oldest son (Police officer) in more danger and I should come put him down too if my son gets shot because of the lying crap he supports. ‘I’m going to hold you personally responsible’. My sons grew up next door to him and are no strangers to him.

I just calmly gave him those words and looked him in the eye when I said I should put him down if harm came to my son from BLM crap. Then I left.
