“Hello, I have an idea for a movie – tornados with sharks in them.” That is about as stupid an idea for a movie as you can imagine, and if the film makers can pull it off, then more power to them.
And pull it off they did. The Sharknado movies are campy with copious amounts of shark related violence, and enough celebrity cameos to make it fun. As a fan of bad schlock films, I particularly enjoy the way they try to go over the top, and then still go a little farther. The Sharknado movies won’t win any awards or provide any sort of social commentary or deep meaning, but provide a pleasant diversion for a couple of hours – which is more than I can say about many big budget films.
If you want to see a real genuinely move that was KNOWN for having almost every actor and actress at the time BEG for a part in it at the time….
